Saturnia
Saturnia in town best known for its thermal springs. However as an ancient Etruscan and Roman colony, the town itself is a place of significant historical beauty; as demonstrated by the remains of the old city walls, shaped in a polygonal style and later fitted with Roman gates.
Roman remains have also been discovered within the village, which today has a charming, almost mystical feel and is filled with quaint shops selling beautiful local products. The world renowned thermal spring of Saturnia produces water at a constant temperature of 37°c and is not only a place of rest and relaxation, but also draws many tourists and international celebrities to the Maremma.
